Every year, Fast Company, a leading business publication, compiles its Most Innovative Companies list, singling out the organizations it believes are doing the most consequential work across industries right now. Editors evaluate thousands of applicants across 59 categories, looking for companies with real, demonstrable impact — not just momentum or buzz.

This year, LeydenJar made the cut, landing at No. 5 in the EMEA category for 2026.

The ranking caps off a big year for the company, which has been scaling its pure silicon anode technology to push battery energy density higher while cutting down on the environmental footprint of production. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t make headlines every day, but it’s quietly addressing one of the harder problems in the clean energy transition: making batteries that actually perform well enough to replace what we’re leaving behind.

“Being recognized by Fast Company is a testament to the relentless drive of our team,” said Evan Sanders, CCO of LeydenJar. “We believe that the transition to a zero-emission future requires a fundamental shift in battery performance. This ranking validates our mission to move beyond the status quo and deliver the high-capacity storage the world needs.”
