Electronic Devices Improved by Silicon Anodes

LeydenJar, leader in silicon anodes for consumer electronic batteries, will exhibit at CES 2026 in Las Vegas as part of the NL Pavilion in Eureka Park. At the show, where it will launch and demonstrate its proprietary silicon anode technology Silyte™, the LeydenJar team will meet with partners and interested battery and consumer tech firms. LeydenJar will be exhibiting at the Venetian Expo, Level 1, Hall G Booth # 62100.

CES brings together the world’s most influential technology innovators, and we look forward to connecting with current and new partners across the battery value chain. Our team will be meeting with cell manufacturers and consumer technology companies, with a particular focus on wearables and other high-performance, space-constrained applications.

“Energy density is a bottleneck in wearable innovations,” said Evan Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer and heading US-based operations. “With our 100% silicon anode, we’re removing that constraint by enabling up to 50% higher energy density compared to traditional anodes, while also supporting thinner and more flexible cell designs. This is particularly important for smartwatches, fitness trackers, and other compact form factors with sensors and onboard AI functionalities where volumetric efficiency is critical.”

Showcasing Silyte™: Enabling More Energy in Less Space

At CES, LeydenJar will showcase Silyte™, our proprietary pure silicon anode material that significantly increases the energy density of lithium-ion batteries. By replacing conventional graphite anodes, Silyte™ enables longer runtimes, lighter devices, and more compact battery designs. Industry has praised Silyte™ as a critical advantage for wearables and other consumer electronics where size, weight, and performance matter most.

Silyte™ is designed for scalable manufacturing and compatibility with existing lithium-ion battery production processes, supporting faster adoption from lab to mass production. LeydenJar has already announced a partnership with Highpower for the mass production of pouch cells with 100% silicon anodes, and is completing construction of its own PlantOne production facility for silicon anode rolls.

CES: Where Innovation is First

CES is the world’s leading technology event, bringing together innovators, manufacturers, and decision-makers from across consumer electronics, mobility, and advanced materials. For LeydenJar, CES provides the ideal platform to demonstrate how next-generation battery materials can unlock new product designs and user experiences. The LeydenJar team will meet with current partners at the show, and has a booth at the NL Pavilion to organize face-to-face introductions.

About LeydenJar

LeydenJar is a leading battery innovator delivering high-performance, 100% silicon anodes to the consumer electronics industry. Recognized in 2025 by TIME and Statista as one of the World’s Top 250 GreenTech Companies, LeydenJar started as a spin-off from TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research, in 2016. LeydenJar has developed a patented silicon anode technology that increases the energy density of Li-ion batteries by 50%, contributing to smaller or more powerful batteries for next-generation smart devices. With a mission to power the future of smart devices through breakthrough battery technology, LeydenJar recently secured €100 million in funding to accelerate commercialization and is building its first large-scale PlantOne production facility, set to launch in 2027.
