Yes, LeydenJar’s silicon anodes are compatible with off-the-shelve cathodes and electrolytes and can be integrated in current cell assembly lines on mass scale (and lab scale). The anode foil feeds directly into the cutting and stacking processes of the cell manufacturer.
What are the advantages of pure silicon anodes?
Using pure silicon as anode material allows much thinner layers to store the same amount of energy, meaning energy density is increased, charging rates are increased, and material usage is decreased compared with graphite anodes.
Can silicon anodes be easily and cost effective be implemented into existing battery production processes?
