At Leyden Jar we are making a step change in Lithium ion battery technology. With our patented Si anode technology, we are able to increase the energy density of Li ion batteries by as much as 50%. Our company was founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the Energy Research Center (now part of TNO) in the Netherlands. In 2019 we will start-up a pilot plant to boost our production capacity.The current team consists of five permanent staff and several project partners. For our location in Eindhoven, we are currently looking for a:

Full Time

As a process operator PE-CVD you will operate the PE-CVD tools that is located in Eindhoven. You will produce anode material that will be delivered to our customers and to project partners. You will also keep in close contact with our (international) battery production partners

You will take care of quality control (visual inspection, mass loading, thickness, adhesion, etc.) and on the development of new material formulations that will improve the quality of our materials.

You will use your knowledge and experience with PE-CVD to aide in the development of a larger scale facility.

Profile

  • MBO or BSc degree in the field of chemistry, chemical engineering or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in CVD technology, working with vacuum equipment, and/or process equipment
  • Proficient in English

Full Time

As equipment engineer you will be responsible for reaching the technical requirements of our PE-CVD tools. This includes adaptations to the deposition tool, regular maintenance, mechanical work on the reactor, pumps, and analysis tools, ordering spare parts, setting-up a maintenance plan, and keeping contact with suppliers.

This work requires close cooperation with the process operators.

Also you will work with the development team (internal and external) on increasing the production output and the development of a production-scale anode production tool.

Profile

  • HTS (BSc) or equivalent experience in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemical engineering
  • Experienced in CVD technology, working with vacuum equipment, and/or process equipment
  • Experience with AutoCad or similar products
  • Proficient in English
